I had the chance to use a Pixel Stick the other day in my portrait photography class and it was pretty darn awesome! I teamed up with four other students in my class and we each took turns coming up with ideas and then shooting them. One person would be in charge of the pixel stick, another would be the model, and then the last two would hold and fire the flashes as needed. These two images were what I came up with within the class period. I am thrilled with how they turned out and I can't wait to take more next week in class!

If you don't have anything to do tomorrow night, you should stop by the Pittsburg Art Walk from 5-8pm! I will have some of my photos on display with the University Art Association!
The neat thing about this photo, is that the room was pitch black except for a sliver of light that was coming in at the top of the ceiling straight ahead of me. The room was in the shape of a triangle and it was in complete darkness except at the top of the room under the sliver of light, which was straight in front of me. I put my back up against the wall so that I could take a long exposure and hope to get something decent from it and have it not be a bunch of blurry darkness, since I didn't have a tripod. It took a couple tries to get the shutter speed right, but the end result was definitely worth it! My two friends would walk back and forth towards the point of the room and then back to me, and it made for an interesting ghostly effect.
This room was in the Jewish Museum in Berlin, Germany. Canon came to campus and brought a ton of their lenses with them. During my portrait photography class I was able to use some of the lenses. It was a great experience, because I would never be able to afford a majority of the lenses that I got to use.
I used the Canon EOS 5DS camera body and I used these different lenses:
Took some promotional pictures of Alpha Gamma Delta's 2015 Homecoming King and Queen candidates a couple weeks ago.
